Skylarks

It’s a Bank Holiday weekend and I could be having a lie-in. Instead it’s 6:30am and I’m out wandering around the park trying to catch a glimpse of Skylarks. One unexpected bonus was an early mist.

Which very quickly disappeared.

All was quiet when I arrived. Then the distinctive notes of this resident bird filled the air. To appreciate its lovely song, click on the image below and you will be taken to a video in my Flickr account

Chuffed with myself I walked back to the car. En route I was greeted with a sighting of this Kestrel.

So once again the benefits of having a local patch with its diversities, will always capture my interest .
