So what are my observations?

As a Nikon digital user it comes as no suprise that I have more reviews of Nikon film cameras. I am incredibly grateful to have most of the Pro models, something I genuinely did not expect to happen.

Next comes arch nemesis Canon. This is just as it should be😏

I’m surprised that there are more reviews of Yashica cameras than bigger players like Minolta, Pentax and Olympus, of which there are only 2 Olympus ?? That will have to be corrected.

What about the decades the cameras come from?

  • 1950 – 3 cameras
  • 1960 – 8 cameras
  • 1970 – 13 cameras
  • 1980 – 12 cameras
  • 1990 – 13 cameras
  • 2000 – 1 camera

No real surprise that the bulk of those I have chosen come from the decades I grew up in but couldn’t afford.

Are there any that are going to be moved on? While I enjoyed using the Canon Epoca 135 it just doesn’t have what it takes to make me go back and try again. So bon voyage to you. Sadly the Centon K200 was the first camera to break on me while using it. Pity, because I was having a good time. Still at least I have the K100 and besides there may be another opportunity to try a K200 if one should passby😉 I thought the Olympus IS 300 would be one of those to go but I had a great time with it and there is enough to keep me interested in it.

What is my favourite camera? Impossible to say as I will choose a camera to suit a particular need or situation I find myself in. Also with most of theses cameras I have only put one roll of film through them, not enough to make a fair judgement. What if I were only allowed one?😰 At this moment in time it would have to be the Nikon F5. But then I like the F4,3,2……….

All the others are here to stay for another roll or three of film. But I can’t keep them all, right? I will have to decide sometime which will have to go😥

But untill then I look forward to the next 51 or so.😊
