I mentioned in my last post an interest in seeing the difference between my ‘new’ film Rollei Retro 400S and my ‘old’ film Fomapan 400.
To make the challenge as equal as possible I choose to use the same camera and lens when taking a photo.
So what better reason to get my two Olympus OM 10’s out and attach a 50mm lens to each. However can you spot the ‘slight’ variation?
Bonus question can you work out which camera has which film???
If you guessed correctly award yourself 2 points🥳
Now to the challenge properly. Both cameras were put into aperture priority mode. The images were taken within approximately 30 seconds of one another, using the same aperture and in theory the same shutter speed.
The films were then developed in the same developer, for their respective times, and then scanned at the same resolution.
Film A
Film B
Film A
Film B
For a final bonus question which film was the following image taken with?
How did you get on?
I will post the answers and my observations on Wednesday.
