I’m not sure why but I don’t find architectural photography comes naturally to me. However, here is my first really focussed attempt while walking around the streets of Winchester, UK. The Nikon FE was loaded with the last remains of my Rollei Retro 400S. I decided to keep things simple and only used the Nikon 50mm f1.8, one of my favourite lenses.
One of my goals was to see if I could capture images without people. I found with a little patience and placing myself in the right position I was able to accomplish my objective.
I was definitely out of my comfort zone during this little project, as you can probably tell from my results. However, I am pleased I had the opportunity to really focus on the subject. I think having an objective helped concentrate the mind.
I would like to revisit the subject another time with a different set of objectives.
