One Month in to My Three Hundred Sixty Five Cameras Project

Wow! That has gone by sooo fast. Is that an indication that I’m enjoying myself? Yes I think so.

As I have mentioned in the past with too many 🤨 so many cameras I haven’t yet used I was feeling unhappy. Now however they are all getting some use, and while I may not be spending much time with any individual one, I am beginning to see which ones I like and those which may need to be given more time to shine. I think that could be a good thing. I haven’t yet come across one that I don’t like yet.

It has been a steep learning curve producing a never ending supply of videos for these cameras. I clearly have some way to go before I am comfortable with the whole procedure. But again, I’m having fun!

One of the inherent dangers when using one roll of film and taking it in and out of various cameras is that I don’t wind on the film far enough and you get a double exposure. Of course I could have tried passing it off as a deliberate move on my part 🫤

Olympus OM 101 Outtake

While I may have tested most of the cameras I have, one or two do slip past my testing and deliver some unexpected result.

Canon EOS 1000FN Outtake

Then of course there is plain human error, as below. Again I could plea that because I’m using so many cameras I’m bound to get things wrong. Not in this case below.😫

Vivtar V3800N Outtake

I was pleasantly surprised at how few outtakes I could find searching through my images so far. That has definitely got to be a good thing for my self esteem🥳

One overriding lesson coming from this project is a deep appreciation for the power of photography to inspire, heal and contribute to a healthy state of mind.

So only 335 cameras to go……….
