I have to admit that I am not a great fan of phone photography. There I’ve said it.
I know technology has advanced at an incredible rate and the quality equally. I’ll admit it is very convenient not only to take the photo, edit and share it all from one device. But I just don’t find it as satisfying.
Why? I don’t really know.
Perhaps its because I’m not very good at it. Maybe its because I don’t feel the same connection with the subject. Or could it be that I just prefer having a camera in my hand. Whatever the reason I just don’t find I naturally use my phone to take photos.
However things could change…

The photo above was taken with my iPhone and I’m actually quite pleased with it. I could have reached for my “proper camera”, the car wasn’t too far away, but I would have missed the moment. April is renowned for its showers and changing light conditions. Had I gone to the car I would definitely have missed the opportunity to record this unique moment in time.
So perhaps that is the reason why I should be a little more open to using the phone’s camera. Since I have the phone with me pretty much everywhere I go, the opportunity to capture these unique moments increases.
But…..
